Ben Brode revealed today that he had made the decision to not only step down as game director of Hearthstone, but leave Blizzard entirely. He has ambitions to start his company and “probably” make games, so his overall goals are  evidently a bit in flux.

Brode started at Blizzard 15 years ago at the ripe age of 20 as a “Night Crew Game Tester.” He’s climbed quite a bit in the time since then. He nor Blizzard have any mention of who might take a place.

But if you want to take a trip down Ben Brode’s memory lane of Blizzard, be sure to check out his goodbye post on the forums.
