Just ten days ago, Epic announced that they’d be slowing down on Paragon based on its lack of success when compared to Fortnite Battle Royale’s tremendous success.
As it turns out, when Epic says they’re slowing something down, they really mean it. Now, evidently, Paragon will have the fork stuck in it come April 26th. That gives players three months to say their goodbyes.
Epic has this to say:
After careful consideration, and many difficult internal debates, we feel there isn’t a clear path for us to grow Paragon into a MOBA that retains enough players to be sustainable.
We didn’t execute well enough to deliver on the promise of Paragon. We have failed you — despite the team’s incredibly hard work — and we’re sorry.
To make up for it, Epic is giving all players refunds, no matter the platform – out of their own pockets.
