Gwent launched on PC in 2017 and consoles a bit later than that. More recently, however, the game also launched on iOS mobile devices, with Android coming later.

Unfortunately, it seems as though the PC and mobile versions of Gwent are the most popular, and the console version of the game is simply languishing off in the distance. So CDPR has made the decision to discontinue Gwent on consoles.

The game will receive an update that basically “freezes” it in its current state next week, and then game will be available to play for the next year until it goes offline for good.

Console players do have the option to transfer their save data to a GOG account, which can then be used on either PC or console.

Head on over to the official page for more information about the transition.
