Don’t call it auto-chess, but at this year’s Blizzcon, Blizzard announced that Hearthstone would be receiving a brand new game mode, dubbed Battlegrounds.
This mode will be taking some inspiration from the trend of auto-chess/auto-battlers. You won’t be going into Battlegrounds with a deck. You’ll be building one during the pre-game Tavern phase as well as between rounds.
Then, once you’ve assembled your cards, you go up against the seven other players in the match, and only the victor will reign.
For anyone who prepurchases the new Hearthstone expansion, has a Blizzcon ticket, or a virtual ticket will get to play the mode when it enters beta on November 5th. Everyone else can jump in a week later on November 12th.
