Roughly two weeks after entering Early Access, Metro Conflict: The Origin developers, Red Duck, have announced that due to struggling to maintain a healthy player count, the game would soon be transitioning to a free-to-play model.

Previously priced at $19.99, that bundle will become the “Full Agents Package”  and will be available as a DLC which will grant Free Access users with 9 additional Agents, character oriented weapons, and 440,000 in-game gold. Any early access participants will keep all their progress without any fears of any sort of wipe.

And anyone who did buy in prior to Metro Conflict going free-to-play will get an exclusive skin as a thank you.

Check out the full announcement for more, and the exact date of going free-to-play is still forthcoming.
