Warframe’s latest update, The War Within, dropped last Friday, and over the weekend, people were caught playing the game. Lots of people.
On Steam, Warframe peaked at 68,350 concurrent players on at one time, making it briefly the 3rd most played game, behind only CS:GO and Dota 2, which both push well over 500k players. In total, those Warframers logged 1.2 million hours of game time in just one day, and across both the PC and consoles, Warframe has over a million active (and unique users), with 26 million having registered since the game’s launch in March of 2013.
Not too shabby for a game that launched as barely a shell of what it is now.
I remember checking out the closed beta for Warframe way back in late 2012. Wild how far it’s come.
