    Solid, evolving, but slightly frustrating

The graphics in the game is characterized by a cartoony style that stays around everywhere. I dont see anything wrong with it, but some people may dislike this cartoony style.
The gameplay is solid, balancing is constantly evolving, customization is point on, controls are responsive... The bad part? It really can get frustrating sometimes.
I didnt get too involved with the community, but there are some social interactions (taunts, GG and such) that make the game enjoyable even if we are not in a too social mood.
If you dont mind the frustration from being defeated in a competitive game, or you dont plan to play this game competitively, give it a shot, it has solid characteristics and it's compared to popular titles many times.

    Enjoyable

I've never got the chance to play Smash brothers so i cant compare them . But its quite fun this game . At the beginning you have no idea what to do and how to do it but with little bit of time you will know .
It can be very fun and also very frustrating. For example you can get 12 score on one game and in the next one you get -4 . I still wonder if thats because of me or because its unbalanced but its still fun even you lose .
The graphics are good in my opinion for a 2D, couldnt ask for more with this kind of game.
One stupid thing is that sometimes one guy decides to go afk , and then someone takes advantage of that and kills him for score and wins just by doing that.
Also its kind of repetitive , I hope they add some new game mods or something.
Overall fun and fast game , I recommend it.

      Update

Well it's becoming more and more frustrating as much as i play it . Almost every game there is someone who is really good and for everyone else it feels really unfair . Now they added a new game mode where you play 1v1 "just for fun" . Well it ain't fun . I played 3 times and all of the games i got matched with people that know every move that im going to make , dodge it and then hit me . I want to try and become good but i don't think i'll be able to play it much more . It's just way too frustrating and not fun when you get matched with someone waay better than you .

    good game

Good game with amazing weapons choices even in beta. You can easily play with friends and it is very enjoyable. I will maybe even put it above CS:GO as a main game but I'll see. It's AMAZING!

a good fighting game although it could be better

i like how the gameplay feels and that the game is f2p but i think that they could add more variety to the gameplay and the overall gaming experience more legends would be great and perhaps make them more easy to obtain but after all it's still a good BRAWLing game and i like that it has controller compatibility and that you can party with your friends at home.........pretty cool

Brawlhalla- Free SSB game in PC?

This game is like Super Smash Bros, but better. In my opinion, Super Smash Bros is way too fancy and having too much combos and moves. Brawlhalla is a cute, simple 2D game in PC... for FREE! At first when I went into Steam and looked at this game, i simply just ignored it. But after you really play it, it's insanely addicting. Super Smash Bros is also a really great game, but Brawlhalla is a new experience for players who don't play Super Smash Bros. I played Super Smash Bros before this, and I still liked this game a lot when i play it. The simple gameplay requires strategy though. Once in Super Smash Bros, one of the characters is clarified as the 'hacker', you can win simply by spamming one attack. But Brawlhalla, it is always fair. At last, Super Smash Bros require players to be using the same TV together. But in Brawlhalla, you can connect to other players and friends easily, and play together without sitting in the same couch, how good is that!? Finally, I recommend this game to other players, especially to those who tried Super Smash Bros before, and give a comment!

An amazing experience for those who haven't played Smash Bros.

As the overview says, IT IS a game inspired by the super famous Super Smash Bros. I like how they have successfully picked up the elements from Smash Bros. and incorporated it so flawlessly in the game. The gameplay mechanics are easy to grasp, and one can master it within a day or two. The characters are pretty well balanced, and the gadgets are pretty fun to use, but I think the aiming mechanics are a little biased in favor of controllers. Overall, it is one of those games you might want to play together with your friends while chatting over skype, but not take up seriously. If I were to rate it overall, I would rate it 8/10. A good choice for some quick fun.

    A good smash brawl's clone

i've played this game since alpha and i have to say they came really far with this game. I really like what they've done with it and it's really not pay to win at all. The game play is it's meat and bones it plays unique to Super smash brawl and the rank system is well done BUT it has abit of a toxic community ( of course every competitive game comes with it ) But that being said brawlhalla is an great game to try! Get it on steam now it's free to play.

    Good games with simple UI

This game is extremely well done. The game flow is very good and have good 2d graphic. This game also have lot of heroes and most importantly it is balanced - every heroes have the same total number of points.

The developer is really active. They have live stream and update at least once a week. Brawlhalla could be the next competitive game.

Cons is that most in game item cost real life cash. I would not mind if some cost real money but ... about 90% of the items in shop need cash to be bought. The only shop item category we can use in game currency to buy is Heroes. Of a scale of ten, I would give this game 9.

Graphics is well done. Gameplay is well designed. Community is good and helpful. However, we can't do much with in game currency,

    Group up & Have fun!

Brawlhalla is a brawler game much like smash which is one of the reasons this game is so interesting, you don't see to many of these games popping up in steam or on pc for that matter, games which are actually good, especially when its a free2play game, but this game is simply amazing!

Now i got this before it went free2play for both me & a couple of my friends, even tho its a bit sad in that the fact that u had to pay for it & so it turn into a F2P game from there, i've never had regrets with the decision of getting it early, besides it did help out the developer in their production!

Now that its turned over to the F2P version & more friends have been able to get it, its a really amazing game!

When playing it solo its an alright game, its not a game i would spend hours upon hours on alone, but when it comes to grouping up with some friends in this game, its a whole other story...
We've had sooo much fun together in this game, i'm hitting over the 50 hour limit in playing this game now & its gonna just keep growing from there (you can fit A LOT of game matches into 50h + on this game)

This is the type of game you can drag up when waiting for other games to load, when you just wanna have some pure fun beating up your friends in a game, when you're too tired to play huge games.... basicly what i'm trying to tell you, is that this game fits into a lot of different situations

If you like fighters in general this is a game you should definitely try, & try to drag with some friends into the game, because that increases the amount of fun by so much!

Now let's keep in mind this is a early access game, which means its not perfect, it does have some problems which i will add into the cons. below, these are not bound to be staying in the game long at all so keep that in mind when reading through them, this is a EARLY ACCESS after all, its bound to have changes! :)

    ||||+ Pros.||||

    - Really good game to play with friends

    - Get updates frequently

    - Adds new stuff like more characters, new maps, new gamemodes etc. pretty often

    - It does have an ingame shop which is based on cosmetics
(skins, emotes etc.) for those that like that kinda stuff, no pay2win! ++

    - While a lot of the characters have the same type of weapon, their heavy/special attacks & their stat setup make them feel very unique to each others when in actual battle

    - It has a controller setup, i recommend using a controller for this game! But most of my friends play it with keyboard & mouse so its fully viable to go that route too

    - Not top 10 graphic, but i think it fits to how the game is

    - It has a ranked system (ranked gamemode) which makes into a competitive game

    - The setting customization for private games is pretty good as you can do mostly whatever you want, you want to double your maxium damage output for all players? Sure go ahead!

    - Have barely seen any negative players whatsoever, which is rare for online games now a days

    - When you're about to die & you play on maps with alot of platforms/walls & u get hit by another player you can bounce like crazy around the map which is pretty funny

    - Daily rewards

    - In private matches you can enable test maps in settings to try out maps currently being tested by the Devs

    - If you go into a 2v2 ranked match with a friend & u meet another pair of players more than once it will keep track of who have won the most like this (Team 1 - 01 vs 02 - Team 2)

    ||||+ Cons (Once again, keep in mind this is EARLY ACCESS)||||

    - The game isn't fully optimized yet, it does run smoothly most of the time, but from time to time the game might freeze & you'll have to exit the game to get it working again (this is usually for all players in the same game, sometimes only for you)

    - You might sometimes glitch out where you can stand inside a bigger platform, as far as i know this dosent affect the ability for other players to hit you tho

    - Sometimes you might see texture glitches where the background (and/or) platforms might be completely black, very rarely this happends when thats said

    ----------------------------------------------------

Overall, this is an amazing game & you should really try it out!
Hope to see you on the battlefield of Brawlhalla! ;)

It's a decent game but i'd rather play Smash

Well, it's basically a free to play Super Smash Bros clone game. I got a steam key for this early on but I haven't played it until I saw it being played on twitch and I found it somewhat interesting so I decided to play it as well.

It's still in early access so I can't be too harsh but it's certainly lacking in a lot of places still. Also, while the game play is interesting at first, it became pretty repetitive quickly and I got bored. Perhaps I'm just comparing it too much so I can see how much it's lacking but how can I not compare it when it's a clone game of Smash. I like it because of the gameplay, but at the same time players are forced to compare it to Smash which is where this game fails to impress. Unfortunately an indie trying to compete with Nintendo is a tall mountain to climb.

In conclusion, if you have access to a Nintendo console, just go and play Smash. If you can only play PC, then it's a decent game to play for a while.
