Not what it used to be

The hom&m franchise is a legend in the gamer community. I'm sure many of us have played earlier versions of the game while we were young and personally those are one of the best memories I have. This version of the game is a slight deviation from the standard downloadable client. Not sure if the choice to go browser was that great. While it still has that nice rts vibe to it, it is just not what you would expect from a multiplayer hom&m game.

    Salty gameplay

There's a lot of things to discuss in this game about. First, gameplay is not what you would expect after playing standard HoMM franchise. It's a multiplayer game so some mechanics are different. For example, you need to grind resources every day to get even wood or gold which is used to upgrade buildings and for buying troops (gold). Everything is expensive even upgrades. You lose a lot of troops in a battle for good resources and that's for balancing things because you can't grow your army and be invincible (I'm not a bad player). For other side of game, quests are pretty easy except for boss quests where there's a chance that you won't make in on first or second try. There are items in the game like in the classic HoMM for the same purpose. Battle mechanics are pretty much what would you find in HoMM 5-6. After all, it's a grinding game without too many rewards for first 20 levels. If you like games like Travian where you need to log-in occasionally, in this case two or three times in a day, and you like HoMM themed games - you should pick it but be aware of grinding.
