One of a kind taming game

I love this game. I have been playing it for almost a year. It has Pros and Cons like any mmo.
Taming: Taming is the main feature of Riders. You can work up to a week to make a end game mark. Get all the buffs you can and Fail it full red. Taming= RNG. A maxed player can fail a beginners tame full red...I speak from experience
Questing: Current max is 67. You can reach max...if you grind in about a month or less...and thats if you have good gear and find people to help you in the latest map. Never skip quests. Do all sides and mains or leveling becomes a pain
Community: Like any other...lots of different people from all over the world can cause trouble in dungeon runs. Ive had alot of dungeon runs ruined becasue the players couldnt understand each other. In the server i play alot of nonsense shouts, Brazilian players shouting at each other. ALOT OF DRAMA. if you dont like drama dont go to Radan
PVP: I dont spend alot of time in PvP but there is pvp options. theirs a pvp area for your server. And another land where you can vp the other servers. PvP is unfair in the game to be honest as for instance the Magician can be really really hard to beat in pvp where others are useless in pvp.
All in all i highly recommend this game.

    Not what I was expecting

I am into action combat mmo's like Tera, Dragons' Nest, Guild wars 2, and others. So when I heard that action combat was implemented into Riders of Icarus, I got excited thinking I get to play another awesome mmo. As it turns out, they give you the option to do action combat instead of tab-targeting but it's basically tab-targeting. Only difference is you move your character around while attacking. Action combat is about skill and learning to evade and such. Yet in this game, even if an enemy is nowhere near you, you will still get hit. So that was a big let down since all I did was just go up an enemy and just spam skills which is very dull.

Another thing is that the community seems to be lacking, I mean I was on the first server on channel 1 and I barely saw any other activity from other players. You would just see some just standing around with a rare mount or something as if they got nothing else better to do. You will even find some at the beginning area just standing around, and it is the same and the big capital city. Players you do see are just standing around and for a huge city, you won't even find any players around, just in one area which seem like a plaza or something. So that was another letdown knowing that there must not be much to do in this game.

Other than that, getting mounts was interesting and was looking forward to getting me a cool mount. But if the overall game itself felt dull, especially the combat system. Then to me, it kills the joy of trying the game any further. I think if they just kept it simply action combat like Tera or Dragon's Nest, then maybe the game would have a lot more popularity.
