Had great potential, let me down.

This game had some really great potential. This game is right up there with the overhyped, but underwhelming games. I was really excited for this as I was really intrigued by the story. I think I may just have been brainwashed by the extremely cool looking depth of field that pretty much hides and blurs out all the bad parts of the game.

Graphics are what you expect from a AAA title. But these were letdown by subpar gameplay with a less than average community. It's just your typical copy and paste MMORPG clone dressed up in pretty graphics. The story is just a mish mash of stuff that's drawn out too long and takes away from what should have been a good narrative.

I'd still recommend for you to try it out and see but IMO this game was a letdown.

You can be any job you want and all of the stats are cumulative that means that if you level up a paladin and change to a witch and other jobs some so the stats you earned in paladin are in the witch too.

A lot of helpful community but alas Skyforge is plagued with gold seller spammers.

Overall a great game and a lot of things to do there's even churches to build well because you're a god you even have a statue.

A plain simple review for Skyforge

Skyforge. How should i start now?
If you are a MMO player who hates grinding, than turn away now , because the fastest (and probably the only) way to progress is to gring. To grind a LOT. You grind to unlock new classes, new dungeons, new cosmetic items ect. ect. .
The story is OK. It's not something grand and new, but it's better than nothing.
The dungeons are too easy - you can solo them most of the time.

Now i should say something good, should i? Yeah i guess so.
    The Classes.
There is a total of 13 classes. At the start, you got 3 classes: The Paladin ( Tank ), The Cryomancer ( DPS ) and The Lightbringer ( Support ).
All of the classes and the combat itself are great. You will always be on the move, dodging and making amazing combos to bring down you enemy. Every class have different skill combinations, for example : after pressing 2xLMB & 1xRMB the Paladin will call down a lighting doing damage to a single enemy, while the archer will fire a flaming arrow igniting his opponent.

Now a bit about the look of the game. The graphics are stunning. The game look really amazing, and wanna now the best part: you dont need a 5k $ PC to run it. I have a 7years old PC ( Intel duo 2.8Ghz/ 4 Ram/ Radeon R7 250 2Gb) and i run it at almost 60 fps on High settings.
The game is also having a lot of players, so you are not running into a ghost town.
You can also buy the game premium currency with in-game gold ( i think it was called credits, but you get the point ) so you can get almost everything for free.

Long story short - the game have more good point's than flaws, so if you got the time just give Skyforge a shot.

Thank you for reeding my review and sorry for the bad english.

    Skyforge Review by: DarkWriter

Skyforge is a game that features a dimension where the future and the past are mixed in an epic combination, and you can play as a god to save the world.

Skyforge brought us a new type of game by letting the player play as a "god", but there are some aspects that i, personally, don't like.

Skyforge is not a open world. You need to go trough portals for each diferent area, but despite this the areas are big and you will take a while in each area, so if you dont need a complete open world to be happy i think you will be "ok" with this.

The graphics are good overall, not a lot to say about that, now the big problem is the community. Not being a open world game its harder to "make friends" and the community its not very social inside the game.

    My overall review is 6-10

    Pretty OK GAME

You have 2 choices here: invest a ton of time to the game, playing hours on end ever day doing the same thing over and over again expecting things to change... Sorry I lost my train of thought there. Right, and the second one is - pay. The progressions is sped up by cashing in, if you don't plan on paying better quit your day job. The graphics, story and animation is really nice, it has that sci-fi-ish aspect that the failure of cabal 2 left. This company is notorious of milking its playerbase *cough*allods*cough*. I predict the eventuall downfall of Skyforge where it will lay in the ashes forgotten, its reppetitive content not missed at all.

    Great Game all around

I am blown away at the concept of this game. Its a fresh take on the MMORPG genre. Most games are basic in its mechanics and are linear. This game has many world events to take part in, has the dungeon crawler feel in respect to grinding for better gear and loot, but also has a unique class system. I recommend this game to new and experienced MMORPG fanatics.

    Nice Game

I enjoy most of the aspects of this game. I find it cool how you essentially are a god and that you get a divine form and so on. I just don't particularly enjoy the whole futuristic setting. kind of throws the game and some environments off.

    First Impression

is apparent right from the beginning of the game that Skyforge is intending to empower the player above all others. You are introduced as a newly awakened god known as an Immortal and are tasked with using your newly discovered godlike power to protect the people from the many enemies of the universe. From a story perspective, this is an amazing premise that can easily be expanded upon at the developer’s leisure. The high sci-fi setting, along with the easily expandable universe, gives the game a lot of freedom for the developers to generate varied content. Sadly, from a gameplay perspective, you don’t really get the feeling of being an omni-powerful being like the story presents… at least from the first 5 hours that I had played. This is mainly due to how gameplay is setup.
Generally speaking, the game plays like your typical action MMO. Within the my first few minutes of combat I was instantly reminded of games like Guild Wars 2 and Tera. Honestly speaking, that is how I would describe Skyforge’s gameplay to be like: a fusion of Guild Wars 2 and Tera. Movement felt very fluid and crisp like Guild Wars 2, but actual combat felt very stiff and rigid like Tera. This is especially apparent when playing as a melee character. My biggest complaint about the gameplay is how instanced the world is. No matter what type of gameplay you are interested in, be it PvP or PvE, everything is closed off into its own little area, which is a total bummer due to the sheer lack of true open world MMOs.

    Promising

In Skyforge, you are an immortal overseeing the world of Aelion, striving to be a recognized god. This game is different from other traditional MMOGs as there is only one character, there are no character levels, adventure focuses on fragmented regions, and players navigate an extensive matrix of skills in order to refine their character. Classes are unlocked through navigating the Ascension Atlas, and players can build religious orders complete with provinces, followers and missions. Players can also join Pantheons (guilds) and help build structures which give access to special areas and bonuses to members. The UI of the game is unique, and Skyforge doesn’t feel like any other MMO. It focuses on responsive and interactive combat, and supports both solo and collaborative play. The prestige system is used to define the overall strength of a character and is enhanced through items, skill selections and overall progress.
I've found this game interesting, but it cant take my attention for long time.

    Could be more

I played the game for a while and i dont think i will be back in it , so here are my first impressions :
Graphics - They were pretty good except for the fact that my pc couldnt run high or medium grapchics .
Gameplay - Battling wasn't exactly bad but wasnt anything challenging . Kind of simple and weird for me.I ran out of mana(or whatever it was called in the game) pretty fast . I don't think the class changing thing is that great of a thing , i mean its just 3 classes and you cant really master all of them , because you spend money on skills . I also found some bugs - for example i couldnt use my new spells on the cryomancer even though i bought them . Also i dont like that you have to complete various missions to unlock more classes ( i wouldnt mind if there were more to choose from in the beginning). I dont even know if you have to get them with real life money.
Community - Can't really talk about this one. You don't get to interact with others a lot if you dont have a party .

    Unique in his own way

The overall is one of the best f2p i've ever played, but as its new and the community has much to grow leaves room for interactions in game, the gameplay it self is repeated killing the same monster in the same maps which gets boring after a while, but if you are in to a game like this this is the best thing youll get, graphics and combat are next level.

    Fresh f2p non p2w Mmorpg

*Note I've played this game since alpha so I've seen it change over a decent time period*

Skyforge is one of the most unique free to play mmorpgs that is available on the western front. It is a Greek steam punked action based mmorpg. It brings a completely different take on the whole mmorpg feel. The player creates One character that can be all 13 classes (You have the chance to switch as many times as you want in mid instances or in the open world). It is both open world and instance based. It also offers a unique spin on levels. (Prestige is used, mixture of resources and the gear you equip). They also have a neat feature of enchanting your gear. Instead of enchanting specific items you enchant a gear slot so no matter what the gear you have will be enchanted.

The game is resource based which you get many different resources for hunting/doing quests. Resources are used on an interesting mechanic called Atlas. The atlas shows you the current class you play as and all the other classes that you can unlock. It sets a path way based on what options you choose for stats/abilities/talents. The atlas has hundreds of different combinations that the player can go through to fully customize the stats and play style of the character. It doesn't take long to unlock classes too!

Is it pay to win? No. Everything in game can be obtained with in game money since they have a neat little feature that converts in game currency to the cash shop currency (That includes being able to get the premium status membership). The devs behind this game really wanted to show that there can be an mmo that is free to play that doesn't force you to spend money on at any point.

The combat it self is action- combo based similar to Blade and soul but not exactly focused on comboing. It's fast paced and can range from simple to extremely tactical (depending on what you are fighting). The instances scale the players all to around the same Prestige so you can play with friends without feeling to over powered or to under powered. Now the pvp has a few different modes that range from 3v3 - 5v5. The pvp itself isn't extremely unbalanced but it could use a little work (On a scale of 1-10 on how unbalanced it is, it's a solid 4.5).

The community is extremely helpful and not full of trolls/salty players. The global chat isn't full of bots trying to sell gold (Like a lot of mmorpgs). Game masters actually play the game along with the players and interact.

Now the game gets pretty grindy so I would recommend playing this with a friend or a few friends. Playing alone you will get bored and miss out on mid game. This game has enough content to warrant a price tag (but obviously doesn't have one) unlike some pay 2 play mmos. There are alot of events that happen and the game gets updated/hotfixes regularly.

In the end on a scale of 1-10 for an overall score of this mmorpg I would give it a solid 7.8 (if you are playing alone), 8.4 (If you are playing with friends).

Beatiful graphics with unique talent skill system make this one of bests free mmorpgs!

This game is putting fantasy and scifi together with nice graphics in same box. Gameplay seems pretty similar to most 3rd person mmorpgs. Skill and talent system is huge and will take lot of time to navigate. Game instances are quite intensive and take from couple minutes to half hour usually. Party sizes are from 1 to 10 man groups. Game is still developing lot and got weekly updates, bug fixes and changes to class balances. In PVE there is nice scalable system which balances more expericed players with never ones. PVP seems to be lot more PayToWin style thing. PVP seems to be also very chaotic and more unbalanced than other parts of this game. Amost all things in this game have caps or limits. Usually these limits reset every week so people are playing couple days more after reset to fill caps and then they will wait next week for new reset. Cause ingame chat system lacks some qualities still and game is not offering voice chat is 3rd party voice chat must in end game groups.

    Great f2p game

Skyforge is a great game to get into! Now if you are new to MMORPGs this may feel overwhelming and complicated. It strays away from your typical f2p (free 2 play) games. While it takes mechanics from many different games and many different aspects it twists it into a new way of gaming. I actually really enjoy this.
Again it did take some time for me to get used to and the usage of nodes was great. Giving people complete free reign over how they wanted to develop their character was awesome. I prefer the non linear approach when it comes to games nowadays. I would highly recommend this to both new and seasoned players. This is a game that you must go into with an open mind though. That is definitely for certain!

    An odd game overall

I have played this game back when it was in beta and found the game very strange in my personal experience. The game looks beautiful yet looks different. I am not sure if it was the combination of the strange animation but it became a turnoff after playing for any hour.
The combat in this game is odd as well. When looking at someone play the game you will think it would be action based, but from playing the game you will notice that it feels more like a tab target as attacks are slow and although combos in the game are present it honestly feels odd.
I do like the system in that you can change your class anytime you like but it never became clear on how you unlock the classes you wanted.
For someone who likes MMORPGs the biggest issue this game had was that it was instanced based, the maps are not open but instead somewhat closed and small.
Overall the game felt odd to me, I know that I keep saying this but it left me not satisfied in anyway as the game felt weird. Maybe because it was developed by a Russian group but it does not feel like a MMO or a AAA game for that matter.

    Its a nice game

It is a really nice game, the combat is flawless and the graphics are amazing, but the thing that i dont understand is, why no open world...It would've been nice to be a open world map where you can travel with some kind of flying mounts idk. The classes are the most interesting from what i've seen in other mmos, and the divine/god fod form is just something like maximum level but with the exception that you become a GOD, and thats super cool, anyway the game stilll needs improvements and i think it will have a bright future.

    Great Graphics, Poor Gameplay.

This game has awsome graphics for an mmorpg, pretty the best after Black Desert, but it lacks in the gameplay department. Ive played about 12-15 hours and it all felt like a total grind. You do the same quests all the time just in different areas. There is some diversity in the raid/group PvE missions in how many there are, but you have to keep doing the same ones over and over until you hit a certain level (prestige) to get new ones. Its an insanely repetitive game, but theres one thing that kept me playing, and no it wasnt the story, Its mediocre, what kept me playing was the action combat. Skyforge isnt a typical MMO where you point and click and have like 50 abilities. You only have around 5-7 abilities plus an ultimate ability and you actually have to dodge enemy attacks and move around, similar to games like devil may cry, dantes inferno, God of War, and Dark Souls. Now about the classes. There are a bunch of classes in this game but if you havent bought a special edition pack like the the Collectors Edition, you will only be ably to choose from three classes at the beginning, then if you want to be a diferrent clsass you have to grind and grind for it which is irritating. Finally the Community. The community is alright, they have forums which you can access in game, and there are a bunch of helpful posts from class builds to tips on PvP/PvE.

I loved this game from the beggining, a third person mmorpg where you have no class lockdown, you can change classes whenever you want, you start with 3 classes, paladin/tank, cryomancer/dmg dealer and lightbinder/support, I loved the playstyle of lightbinder i built him full into support and i could still solo misions. i liked teaching new players how to efficiently clear missions and kill bosses, even players that played longer than me. I had one mission that we died multiple times but i got the hang of the boss, i only damaged the boss 1% dmg each time when my teammates were dead, so i did that till i had my revive. there is no lvl, there is only a system with prestige, there are multiple ways to get prestige, equipment, multiple skilltrees, classtrees, enemytypetrees and an overall skilltree where you can unlock new classes, you get an order when you hit 2k prestige and start to get followers and adepts that you can send on missions to get items for your pantheon/guild. I installed it first half a year ago and came back to it just recently, I could see the game got a lot of changes by a 13GB update.

Felt great at first but I quickly change my opinion.

The graphics are really good considering it's an MMO and it also has decent voice acting. Unfortunately this doesn't matter. The game was quite fun in the beginning and the story felt different. I didn't play long before I grew tired. You feel restricted and it becomes really repetitive. Yes, I know MMOs almost always includes extreme grinding but that's not the case. It doesn't matter what mission you do, it's all the same. The reason you feel restricted is because there is no open world. You go to a selected area and kill stuff. I personally think there are many better ones out there. Still decent for a f2p game though. Might suit some people.

Be the Goddess you want to be.

Hiya guys first I'd like to introduce myself I have been playing mmos for years, my first mmo being either roseon (rush on sever episodes online) or vanilla WoW. at the time I also played City of heros.

With that out of the way I'd like to start with my first impressions of skyforge, I had been playing since cbt where I bought a founders pack for early access. Over all I enjoyed the game and still do. However as a severely addicted altoholic, I found that being locked to a single character was quite irritating, even though I could change class at will I found that it took a lot of the fun of experimenting out of the equation. What passed for character creation was good despite what I felt to be a limited choice. I did enjoy in game character customisation where I could change at more or less anytime I got sick of an outfit or style.

The graphics of the game are beautiful if you have a pc able to handle the highest settings. onto gameplay combat was fluid for the most part despite the chances of lag. The skill system was interesting and freeing, now a word of warning the mobs scale with prestige and if like me you spammed might thinking it would increase your power you are in for a shock it doesn't and if you kept leveling your order well to quote bender from futurama, you're boned. Because I made that mistake thinking that even if i skilled wrong i'd be fine not effective but not having trouble. there is a right way to skill and I suggest finding build guides to help you once you reach your class sparks area. for those who did as I did you're fine for the most part but you will have a much more difficult time than you would otherwise.

join a pantheon as soon as you can, and they can help you level up your prestige.

I would certainly say this mmo is worth playing, but beware that the game is grind heavy it will eat up your free time.

    from immortality to godhood !

SKYFORGE takes a new approach to mmo genre with it's node-based progression system (called the ascension atlas) . i loved the concept of forging your way from a basic immortal to becoming a god and another cool feature is that you can play all the classes (that you've unlocked through playing) using only one character anytime and anywhere you want to
and the addition of new public events and raids ( invasions) is making the game even more awesome .....there's a whole lot of other features in the game and i recommend this game to anyone who loves mmo genre!

    There's just something missing...

I played a lot of MMO's in my past and i mean a lot so take this review as just another opinion from a MMO player. ALTHOUGH! if i a MMO remains on my PC then that means i consider it a good MMO and one worth playing, which is one of my ways of reviewing MMO's

I managed to get in the beta of this game and what can i say first impressions was good graphics where nice, changing your class on the go was i nice idea (although i ended up sticking with the same one which i also one of the problems of this game (i will talk about it in a sec)) and the combat was my favorite part of this game where chaining your abilities actually mattered and dodge saved you from dying. But there's just something missing.....

as i said earlier on paper changing classes sounds great till you realize you end up handicapping yourself if you do, you progress so much on one class unlock cool stuff and then you change going back to basic abilities, so like this you get one of two choices you either stick with one class max it out and then move to the next one but like this you never get to play the other ones OR you change equally but like this you feel like it takes for ever to progress. now this wasn't what was missing, what was missing for me was the questing and the story, to put it blunt i just didn't care i was just smashing through dialog because i really wanted to play more of the combat it had to offer but indeed did that have a problem too.... the quest were so boring and grinding was annoying, you end up killing the same enemies over and over again but it did the mini bosses every now and then but not often enough to make it fun.

Over all the game isn't on my pc anymore BUT! it's worth playing simply for the combat in my opinion other than that i do not play this game anymore

This game is very different than most mmorpgs. It has a unique leveling system that makes finding new gear even more fun. There are many cool classes with lots of cool animations. Events are always going on. The one thing I don't like about this game is how it's much better to play with friends. Solo play gets boring quickly so make friends in game or have some of your friends join you.

    Shitforge review

Ya sure you have some nice flashy graphics and aesthetics
    Your actual game?
    Shit.

Grinding isn't necessary bad, it just depends on how it's done. This game however, has it all wrong. Every things locked behind grind and cash gates. The loot and grinding gets boring soon, the setting although interesting at first is executed completely wrong. The action combat is decent but gets boring pretty soon. I found myself literally falling asleep while playing sometimes.

    Good game but long.

just one of the games that I really, it is graphically beautiful, the gameplay is well designed, with lots of quests and choice of classes. But the problem of this game is that it is extremely long, it takes a lot of quests unlocked for a class, but once you unlock the desired class, we take fun with this class, because we know that 'we managed to have it. For me it is a great game, I recommend it.

    Beautiful outside, rusty inside

Ahhh Skyforge, amazing graphics, amazing... Oh wait, it only has amazing graphics, that I can't even say are amazing with the upcoming Black Desert and Blade&Soul which beat it in graphics BIG time.
For an MMO this game has pretty sexy looks judging by the fact it is F2P. But that is as far as that game goes, nice graphics, and that is it.
On the first glance the game look amazing, honestly it is very different from any MMORPG, because it has no leveling, that is right no leveling no levels nothing, though it has a very different system which can be explained like this. You game a big skill tree that takes you Red/Blue/Yellow/Green currency to unlock, and every new skill is different color. Aaaaand you can see what it is, yeah you know. GRINDING, only grinding for points... And Oh boy is the combat not fun at all, spells look amazing and shiny but its empty, you only have nice spells no soul in it. The game has no soul, you grind you get stronger by doing 4 different maps over and over and over until you dont unlock new 4 maps and grind these new 4 maps.

From every thing I said you get impression that this game suck big time. But the game doesn't suck, and you are over there like ,,You were saying the game is total miss, and now you say it ain't, what the cow dude ?''. The game is awesome if you look at its feature, graphics, caracters, physics. But COW that cow what matters most to the real gamer is gameplay. All we gamers need is not buggy game, not too 90s graphics, and QUALITY gameplay which this game does not have.

*Should you play the game ?
@I know many people that liked this game, including me. But it gets boring very fast, its too repetitive. I can't say DON'T try the game, and I wont say the game suck, but in my opinion it lacks SOUL !

    A godlike idea...and a human istake

Here goes my review for this MMORPG called Skyforge, I was really hyped for it over a years period, was in both beta tests ,here comes the judgment hammer :

    Pros :

    - Good skill system that is very similiar to path of exile and lets you make hybrid chacters

    - A very good combat system that has finishers and skill based attacks

    - Very good graphics

    Cons :

    - Everything is instanced wish is a big turn down for me,

    - PvP is very unfair, the classes are very unbalanced

    - Pay to advance (pay to win )

    - Weekly caps that do not let you go any further until the next week,a big turn down for players that have alot of free time on their hands, and if you are not back your caps accumalate and you really cant ever catch up to other players

Summing it up this game remindes me of those web browser games with alot of servers that come out every day, just a race to the top,an the ones with the most money make it,its not evan fun for that matter, you will find yourself doing one dungeon, and by god repeating the living hell out of it,just so you can unlock the next one and do the same over and over again

Also what i found was that there are alot of hackers and botters in this game, people evan mention it on a public chats, that is a HUGE turn down beaces it lets me know that devs dont care much about their game...

Coummunity is not great, but not bad, just a normal one, with good and a few rotten eggs

Have a god one guys .

    Skyforge

In general, Skyforge was a great experience to me, even though sometimes it can get quite grindy. I really enjoyed the aspect of building up to be able to achieve the title of a God. I still remember the time when I've finally have enough prestige to become a God, the excitement was overwhelming and I fully enjoyed it. In my experience, the community was amazing, the Pantheon I joined was very friendly and kind, they would always help out members who have lower prestige than them. The graphics aren't lacking behind in anyway too, they are amazing! Not only that, I love the fact that you can unlock every class just by playing the game, and without having to pay for it, even though it might take a long time to unlock a new character, but it's worth it. (at least for me) That said, some might not enjoy this game but I do recommend this game to anyone who enjoy a similar experience to Tera or MMORPGs in general.

    Its GOOD!

The game is very good but it gets grindy at a certain point forcing you to kill and complete the same quests over and over again just to lvl up and unlock new areas. While I dont personally have a problem with that some players might find it boring and might not enjoy the first few lvls. But after that it gets better ;) Stick with it you will enjoy it.

A good game for mmorpg starters

I think someone who have not played any mmorpg before, this game is pretty good starter for them. Combat system is not bad but not something very impressive either. I was expecting a very openworld game but it is pretty instance based, which was a downer for me. but still pretty fun to play.

    One of the best around!

Played it kinda a lot, at least enough to play the gunner to gear it a bit. Awesome graphic that can work on the 80% of computers around and fun gameplay with no-target style (like Tera, just to get it) and everything with a really good looking sci-fi location.
The point of the game is to become a God, starting with 3 classes and with a grid of talents getting stronger and having access to a lot of other classes.
So basically you start with a Tank, an Healer and a DD to end with a lot of other classes that you will be able to switch anytime. Without rerolling everytime a new char.
The shop right now is just for cosmetics and to get faster stuff that you'll use for your talents (double loot for the valuables around, kinda) but nothing that affects the gameplay in the pure meaning of it.
So, a must try in my opinion, if you like sci-fi, action based gameplay and you have the patient to run a lot the dungeons to unlock stuff, this is the game that might get you a lot of free time!

    From long time player

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I have 650 hours play time in SkyForge according to raptr. Considering i may have had times when i did not have raptr on we can say i have 700 hours play time in SkyForge. During that time i reached 100k prestige and cleared all the available at the time content (last time i played was 5 months ago).
My review might be slightly outdated, but i'm pretty sure some many things did not chance since they were core to the game.
    1. Gameplay. I personally REALLY enjoyed the gameplay. In all honesty i might say that this game had one of the best game plays i've expirienced and i'm gamer since before 2000. It just felt really nice and fluid. There were few bugs here and there like places where you could get stuck (invisible rocks) and some abuses in arena when you can jump and apply dot, but i can overlook it.
    2. Graphics - Nothing much to say graphics are OK, they are not over the top, but they are not trash either i say it was decent for the time of the games release. Actually i heard from people that the graphics was very good, in my opinion it was kind of idk how to say it but it felt fake and weak at places but it was acceptable i was never a graphic guy anyway since i always end up with shit PC and cant allow myself to play on ultra settings, i believe SkyForge on max settings is beautiful.
    3. Community - I personally joined a very populated guild(pantheon) that had officers and guild master class master etc it was very coordinated i have no complains. Well actually there were few people that were problematic but ive played so many mmorpgs and mobas this comunity is angel compared to some big games.
    4. Balance - This is one of the games major flaws. I understand it's hard to reach balance in mmorpgs between the classes but in SkyForge atleast at the time i was playing you could literally only be competative dps with 2 out of the 10 dps classes in PvE. PvP every class with dot was godlike, because the bonuses worked on the dots and it was insanity until people started playing Knight which is total faceroll high dmg output, 2 lifes, mid and long range attacks, a dot and in combined with the stuff from the atlas it becomes pure bullshit beyond comment.
    5. PvE - PvE was... acceptable i guess. I mean i was forced to join teamspeak in order to clear the 10/15 man dungeon raids and i'd say i had fun doing it. 3 man = solo, 5man = shitshow unless you are with your guild mates.
    6. Grind - This game is pretty much all about the grind. It has limits so the mindless grinders can't go too far away from the normal players, but the game is centered on repeating the same content over and over again until you move to next game. Invasions = repeat same instance 100 times a day, capping your stuff usually equals repeat instances you've done before but this time they have bonus reward. Speaking about progressing, the game does not provide good catch up mechanic for new players to reach old players. They made attempt it was not successful imo.
    7. p2w - Game is p2w. Events could be easily completed with money, while normal player could never clear the whole event during the event time. You can buy holy texts and progress in prestige (something like level) and go beyond others altho there comes the problem that your atlas is under developed but whatever still unfair.
    8. There's no professions.
    9. PvP - I loved to PvP, primary Arena. But there is 1 problem and i've already covered it in previous point. The balance is non existent so you basicly are forced to play with few of the 14-15 classes.
    10. Gear - You only have amulet rings and weapon as gear. Every dps class heck even support and tanks use the same stats on rings. Only 1 of the all viable bonuses on weapons is actually used, because others are trash so you are not left with much choice. Amulets have slight versitility, but not for every class. Some classes have utter shit bonuses on amulets and there's only one good.
    11. Storyline/Questing - I actually enjoyed doing the storyline and questing it was VERY good IMO.
    12. God mode - It's fun, but rarely does it have any use. It has uses in raids and solo questing in open zones with quests, but is unusable in 3/5 man instances or pvp, because it's just too expensive to use it.
    13. Interface - It was bad at the begining of the game, they fixed this and that it may be good now. I personally accepted the way it was and didnt complain.
Now i'll stop at 13, cause it's my favourite number and because this is getting too long. There's stuff that I did not mention like The Order and other things. I'll now rate all the 13 areas i've commented on.
    1. Gameplay - 9/10
    2. Graphics - 7/10
    3. Community - 8/10
    4. Balance - 1 /10
    5. PvE - 7/10
    6. Grind - 2/10
    7. p2w - 5/10
    8. Professions - 0/10
    9. PvP - 7/10 (if there was atleast a slight balance in the classes it would be 9/10 or 10/10)
    10. Gear - 5/10 meh low amount of items to wear but i'm like whatever
    11. Storyline - 10/10, Questing - 7/10
    12. God mode - 5/10
    13. Interface 4/10

Overall i'd probably give this game like 6/10 or 7/10. Probably in reality it's 5/10.

Important to mention when i rate bad stuff such as grind and p2w when i give them low score it means they are highly present. In case it's not clear.

Thank you for reading this review, i hope i was helpful and didn't kill it with the wall o' text.

    Pretty good

The game is pretty good on its own and I am sure that if I had a state of the art computer it would be even better. You need a slightly beefy computer with a lot of processing power to avoid lag. Even turning down some of the graphics settings doesnt help much and in the end the game looks really bad and you still lag. Gameplay wise, the attacks seem to lag and sometimes your character just stands there looking at the enemies while they beat you up. There is a LOT of grinding to be done and in order to use any class other than the beginning 3 you have to devote yourself to endless grinding and replaying the same dungeons and areas. That does get boring really quick. I like it but I think I will stay away from it until they make a few more drastic updates or until they go into "year 2".

    Grindfest?

When first Skyforge came out it was surrounded by a ton of hype, but did it deliver? The class system is pretty unique but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. You start out from fewer than a handful of default classes which have a certain starting point on a pretty large skill-talent-classadvancement tree. Repeating quests and dungeons for a certain type of "experience currency" of sorts to unlock nodes towards your desired node to unlock a certain class can be a hell of a grind depending which one you want. Overall the gameplay is pretty fun at the start depending how much you like..well..grinding. You need to invest a lot of time in this game so be ready.

While visually stunning... I just could not bring myself to continue playing. The zones feel so empty. The leveling just felt so bland. I tried making it to higher lvls to unlock another class, but the ammount of game time for it was just not worth the effort.

Played it for 1 year and still ongoing, best MMORPG

I started playing Skyforge in the closed beta phase and never stopped since than. The Gameplay is very action orientated, similar to Terra, GW2 or Wildstar, but better done. The Graphics are highend, the only MMORPG i know which had better GFX is Black Desert (but that has boring gameplay). I play MMORPGs for more then 15 years now, and i have seen plenty of bad games, but Skyforge is superior to all the good ones, i did see before.

There is a nice Mainstory and the most complex Charactersystem i have ever seen (more complex then Path of Exile). You are never done with your char, there are always more possibilities to enhance your char.

You start as an immortal, who just found out that (s)he can't die and in the story you are going to become a god. The twisted Mainquest leads you to the point when you get godpowers. From my point of view, this godquest is the end of the tutorial, although you need some weeks of play to reach it. But many gamemechanics just get opened after you became a god, so everyone who talks about this game, without getting a god first, know nothing about Skyforge.

Sometimes it might get grind focused, but in the end, all MMORPGs are like that after you finished the mainquest in one or another way. But here you have not 1-2 Dungeons and 5 Daily Quests, here you have 50+ Dungeons, 5man Instances and 10man Raids, with scripted bosses where every single boss has it's own mechanics, getting more and more complicated the deeper you get in the game.

There are possibilities to buy power or to get to a certain stat-point earlier by paying, but there is NOTHING in the Game, which you can not get for free, no paywalls, no really pay-to-win, only pay to be first. If you are not after being the best or the first with something, you can have tons of fun for months, without every paying a single dollar/euro. With money you level faster and you can get some luxury, but it is not necessary, beside being the top highscore player in a top guild.

Skyforge has a special system that gives you the opportunity to catch up with players that started to play earlier, so that you are not the "little noob" for all time, just because you started later, very smart technique, like in many other features, the skyforge devs thought a lot about the features and if a system does not work, it will become fixed very fast.

If you want to play a MMORPG with Action-Combat and REALLY complex Character-development, there is no real alternative to Skyforge at the moment. And best is, there are tons of Updates, Bugfixes and really fresh features, and it is really not the 253. wow-clone.

I really like this game , he is using a new type of game play in mmorpg world and he has a nice story line . I played it since it was in beta tests and I like the idea about how you can change your powers and status anywhen you want. He is still developing so you will find me missions and items after each update ( I think :)) )

    Grinding real hard

(I'm not really good at these, so bear with me)

The game is a good game but is just a huge grind fest.

The game starts off as you are one of the immortals. I'm going to botch the story a little bit but your job is to keep the world safe. Down the storyline, you discover a conspiracy and the rest is whatever since I didn't play much after.

The gameplay is overall fun. Attacking with whatever move you have feels impactful and feels good. Each class has a different way to play and works completely different and later on in it's skill tree has it's own class 'sparks' that are dropped to further progress it's own skills. To progress universally, you need one of the 3 sparks that will unlock nodes in this huge map that can unlock stat increases, classes and skills. You get sparks by defeating bosses, completing quests and completing dungeons. Periodically, dungeon's rewards will change every 45 minutes (I could be remembering this wrong, don't quote me on this). While also giving bonuses to that dungeon like if you run this dungeon as a Paladin, you get times two of the reward which is good and makes the player switch it up sometimes. The voice acting in the game is not by all means terrible, it's very good though one or two lines are pretty wooden. Quests are very generic which are mostly kill X amount of these and complete.

The problems with this game is that getting sparks are a HUGE pain. Since sparks are the basis of getting stronger and unlocking classes. The game heavily revolves around it. And as such, they have implemented a 'Premium' status which makes farming them easier by giving it a bonus to whenever you get some. This is terrible. Unlocking nodes go to as high as 100 and completing a dungeon is barely worth 50 at times. So you could be unlocking a node 1 dungeon at a time which itself isn't even worth the time to. While gameplay is fun and engaging, playing with 3 people is quite difficult when people have no idea what to do. Getting hit in this game is very bad. There is no heals so you have to mitigate that damage as best as you can when it comes to you. So without a tank in the 3 man, it's pretty hard but since everyone can play Paladin. It'll happen a few times. Now 5 man dungeons are hard. Losing aggro as a tank even for a second leaves the dps in a bad spot. They lose health very easily and can turn the whole fight south. So learning for both dps, tank and support classes is quite difficult since you all need to be really diligent if anything happens. Dying is very easy since anything could happen. To many people, fighting bosses are very difficult. From what I've seen, every boss has a way to gimp it. Either by luring a floating hand to punch it to reduce it's health, to destroying the eggs it wants to hatch to prevent mobs, from running out of the circle of it's AoE blast that can't be interrupted. This happens a lot in the lower levels and people dismiss the game very easily because it's too hard. If it can't be interrupted, then you should run. There is no alternative. The game doesn't teach you that. It shows you.

The community isn't that bad or good to be honest. You'll barely get groups in the party finder to run dungeons. So you'll basically solo most of the dungeons themselves (DPS and Support might have a tougher time clearing it than tanks). During the dungeons I ran, no one talked or gave advice. Occasionally, someone would say I and that's about it. Like any chat I've read at the main hub, it's weird. Chat will never escape that.

Overall, would I tell you to go play Skyforge? No, I wouldn't it's not worth the time and grind for it. It may feel fun but it will slowly become the most boring thing you'll be playing which is a damn shame. However, if you don't mind the grind, yeah go ahead, knock yourself out. However to the large amount of people that don't like grinding. I'd say go play something else.

    Well...

I actually liked the game. The graphics aren't the best but pretty sweet, gameplay mechanics are pretty solid and most importantly the skill trees are really well made, simple and the game itself is quite unorthodox in terms of "character leveling" which may or may not be a bit similar to Defiance

    Just no...

One of the worst games i've played in a while... Started the game and couldn't find how to add friends for about few minutes. After playing awhile and doing the "go there kill that" continuously quests the game just got me totally bored, the kills and gameplay style are just horrible, your hands start to hurt from soo many mouse-click-combos. You can't play the class you want before you max the initial first 3 classes.... what kind of developer will lock your fun and progress in a online game ? That's the biggest fail of game managment and progress i've ever seen, don't waste your time with this gaem.

    Skyforge Review

This is my review for skyforge i have not played this game long enough but i have played enough to justify my own review for it.

    Pros:
    -amazing graphics and skill visuals
-unique progression(i like it. it gave me that ffx childhood memory)
    -NPCs looks amazing
-Personal wardrobe(you can dress up whatever you like)
-as far as i am concerned its not p2w idk if thatll change

    Cons:
    -super repetitive
    -slow gameplay at the start
-NPCs are reskinned(youll understand when you play the game)
-linear gameplay(for a 2015 game not very impressed)
-instanced gameplay(thats why destiny failed so much to capture me in)

So I started this game today! It's....uh...hmmm. Calling it different is an understatement. The overall feel of the game is very different but I think it's a good thing. It's very unique but kinda feels like Defiance.

The graphics are awesome. It has great scenery, animations, and spell effects. Top notch. The combat is a different form of live action. Very fluid but different.

Now, the story and lore is weird. You really don't know what's going on in the beginning. It needs a back story describing what's going on.

Good but Still a point and Click

Graphics are great, the game is beautiful. The game, well this is of my personal dislike for 2 reasons.

1: Is still a Point and Click Game, it does have some elements of actions and try to innovate, but in the core is point and click.
2: Some like it, but i dont, i prefer to specialize, to be the best in my area, witch my char. Bu here, you can be all classes, change it between battles. I understand why they do it, but is not my type.

Still is a good NEW game, It have a couple of new things that maybe someone else may like (not me).

Leaves a lot to be desired.

Skyforge locks progression of your character in many ways, making players utilize the Facebook game styled Order system in order to progress at a much faster pace. This is where the games credit buying monetization comes in. What to accelerate your progress past caps? Pull out your credit card.
Despite the monetization issues and how the games developers shoe you into different systems you may not enjoy, the games combat often times is also wonky. I can’t even count on one hand how many times my Archers animations broke and left me defenseless. That said, maybe you’ll have some fun with it, but I personally don’t see myself installing it ever again.
