Trove really addicting and really fun especially with friends. This game brings a lot for players to venture on with the different worlds and PvP. Though it's repetitive. It's only fun if you can bear the the lvling system when you reach about lvl 10 because thats when your lvling starts to slow down but other than that its a really fun game.
Trove is a great MMO full of great design and liberty, the community can be very creative with the clan system and house building, enemies and dungeons being update every month, the clan can be very friendly and helpful because have some unique functions like Shadow Tower and Radiant World and you can find people of all parts of the world but you still have to take care of the normal trollers of internet, scammers and spammers, they have very good support and partnership, new classes being added, pets and MOUNTS!!!.
+Pros: -Good community. -Great upgrading system(and still more being added). -Unique systems and classes. -Pets and Mounts Like shoes and dragons. -Bazar, great for selling your items
-Con: -Still improving slowly -Slow Progress if dont have in-game mentor or friends -Sometimes there can be grinding
P.S.: There is ¡¡¡HUGE!!! update coming having 4 new worlds, new dungeons, enemies and much more!!!
Trove is a highly addictive game of it's own kind. I haven't seen such an open community with streams, forums, clans, and even in game interactions. It is really rewarding for all the time you can put into the game and just keep on going at it. It gets updated weekly and even adds user made content straight into the game using their own creations for anything in game.
In the early days of Trove I was led to believe that it would hatch into a great nation filled with great people. I was not wrong, although the game has some dull mechanics. If you love questing to find loot and building up your hero then this game would be perfect for you. As my experience goes this game was not for me because it had dull game play, the objective were tedious, and everything about Trove felt liner even though it was an "open world."
Its a really good game to pass time with if you dont have any other games to play. Its better if you play with friends because it gets really boring if you play by yourself for a long time.
Trove is a great game. I and my daughter play it often together as an alternative to playing Minecraft which I find boring. Its graphics are nice. I think they are the best graphics of any Voxel art type game I have ever played. The worlds are large. There are plenty of classes to choose from. There is a cash shop, but it’s mostly cosmetic stuff with some package deals that may or may not have some help with leveling faster. I think the most impressive part of the game is the character controller. It is the most responsive I have ever had the pleasure to play. There is always chatter in the chat box, and there is a nice club system where you can create your own club world much like you can go into creative mode in Minecraft. Trion did a great job with this game. You should definitely give it a try if you’re looking for something new and fun to play.
Trove takes you to a world where you need to fight the darkness with a dungeon based /open world game its a epic mix and realy fun to play game.
Being one of my favorite games with this type of graphycs, trove is a mmorpg with a great community inside and outside the game and with a even better gameplay. In the world of trove you can change class at anytime at your portable house or at the social hub. Having a lot of classes, (some regular like warrior, etc., some new like MoonLancer, etc.,) you will never get bored. The game as a daily mission that guivs you currency to buy classes and mounts.
If you're looking for Massive Multiplayer game, this game is for you. Fun. I've played this game for hours and didn't get bored. You can also get it on steam. Try it. It's totally free guys.
Hello! This game is quite similar to Minecraft, but has some flashes that will captivate you. As for graphics, there is an improvement in the blocks that your eyes will thank because they are not all pixels. Although we are not talking about powerful graphics ... Hence its charm. About the gameplay it is quite easy to get to controls. We can use 3 skills (1, 2, RB) so it will not be complicated. Last but not least, the community. There are many people who are starting and need help ... Most players are friendly but very independent. Nor is there a mandatory language chat and sometimes there are some problems between communities (PT , BR , EN, ESP , FR ) ... But in general are friendly. Particularly I recommend this game to some extent , for a time it becomes very monotonous arrives.
I had really much fun playing this game, having chance to see better game than Minecraft that has squares everywhere was amazing. With time I began to plunder each and every wikipedia page about this game to check what and where I can find and how I can make things as I am not a person that asks other players. I had so much fun exploring this worlds made up of squares, it's amusing how this game is free to play. If I would make it I would make everyone pay for it, maybe I am too happy with the results of hours of playing but this game deserves more than I just had a chance to explore.
At the first look i was sure it was a game for kid but wow! The figthing mecanics is good and easy to learn. Good tutorial to guide you with all the mecanics of the game. If you don't stop yourself at the look of the game, it's really fun to play.
aparent the problem is the can of diveriter world that limits the objects that you can pick up. but the gameplay is fine except the hub that is a lag souce . diversiter of the peronnage is the personalization of character and places are . tou free to play as there is a way to pay for better play.
Travel through fully destructible worlds allows the discovery in the cave undermine surface and explore club worlds created by other players.
The game has it's own charm, it combines meditative building gameplay of minecraft with hack'n'slash action. Lots of different classes with unique skills and tactics won't let you become bored. Trove also has awesome events, each of them can give you uique mounts, clothes etc. Is Trove the kind of MMOG that I'd like to spend a part of every day in? No. But it is an MMOG that I'd enjoy visiting every now and then, possibly several times a week. That's enough to make Trove a success, and its speedy updates and randomly generated worlds help make every visit feel different from the last. Now, if they'd just get those queues in line, I'm thinking about making the Alamo 40 stories high, and I don't have time to wait.
Played Trove a while ago alone . I believe is a lot more fun with friends , Back then there was quite a bit of lag which made me stop playing it . Graphics - Not the best ones but thats what you get from a cube game.Animations aren't bad tho. Gameplay - Fast paced , fun gameplay with some nice spells . Community - Couldn't get to interract with others , so I can't talk about it . Overall it was fun but the lag put me off. Also I didn't really know what to do and just went around shooting stuff.
Played this around release. Saw a youtuber play and decide to give it a shot. I personally had a ton of fun! I got to meet a ton of cool people and had a ton of fun! I definitely recommend this game!
Trove is constantly updated with new kinds of classes and maps, and other players can participate in making new items and buildings, which helps the game to not be too stale. The gameplay, however, is still pretty repetitive. Every day you can fill up a bar by clearing dungeons, so you clear maybe 3-4 good dungeons, get your extra money, and either grind more or wait for the next day.
When I first downloaded Trove I never expected the game to grab my attention. I figured it would be a poor attempt to copy Minecraft. As i started playing it I was pleasantly surprised at how it has a Minecraft feel but also had a unique feel of its own. It actually elevated itself it to a higher level where Minecraft could of or should have been.
I have a close place in my heart for Minecraft. But after playing Trove I now have a special place for it too! Each have their own unique style and they both have a appeal of their own. If you decide to play Trove I believe you won't be dissappointed.
Trove is an amazing journey filled with dungeons and extremely unique locations. Multiple classes has given the game a very hard yet simple seen end goal; get every class to max level. My personal experience with this game has been great, it is fun to level up and receive very unique (and popular) accessory and equipment. The classes are also all very unique in game play, The great thing about this game in my opinion though, is the fact that if you get bored of one class you are able to change classes and play an entirely new playstyle. I would comment on the building aspect of the game but I'm not much of a builder so I wouldn't have too much to say about it. Great game overall.
It's like we took... Minecraft, Skyrim, Warframe and a LOT of other games together, bashed them all into one and added different graphics... The game has an excellent community, that's always willing to help, and the developers are too awesome... Hand out free ingame money, rare items... Easy for new players but hard to master! 9/10 lacks private matchmaking.
Trove takes an amazing spin on the rpg and sandbox gaming genres, Trove expands players to go around the blocky creative world to defeat enemies, conquer dungeons, collect gear and spend time hanging out, building, playing and grinding with friends, Trove has a very unique and high quality take on how a rpg should work whether it be with guildmates, friends, or strangers, with its unique trading and dungeon companionship system, this allows players to maximize enjoyment together making the game all the more enjoyable. Trove hosts many hourly events to keep players coming back each time to collect rare loot and customizable gear. Trove also has a very unique style and wide range of mounts, allies, pets, etc. to help you along the way!, not to mention custom guild bases!
Trove is honestly not a bad game if you get to playing it.The graphics are pretty good for a 3D cube game. You can play with other players as it being an online game. The dungeons in the game can be fun and sometimes confusing as I get lost and mostly follow other people to get through them.Overall I believe this is a great game and if you haven't tried it, I would recommend it as a game to try.
Trove is a fun big game it has lot of updates and class that can suit almost everyone but the bad thing about trove is that it can be very grindy espcially when you get to higher levels
Excellent game. The graphics are improvable but the gameplay is very good, the community is very attentive and are always taking new updates. Perfect for people who likes customizable games in all its aspects.
Lately I didn't have much time to play it, but it's one of the most entertainings free to play mmorpgs that I've tried in a while. It's got the classic dungeon missions, with leveling up, crafting your own stuff, but, despite what I've seen about minecraft, without having to be continuously looking for resources, letting each player play on his own style
Trove is one of those games i play to chill, it's fun, it's simple and it's easy i love running around the random maps collecting stuff and weapons just for the heck of it specially, however i feel like it needs something more for end game... I think the game needs more time to show it's true colors.
This little game block-based/minecraft style, gave me very good moments with my friends, we took some characters and did our best to earn some money and level up our monsters, there's maybe very few things to do, but lots of places to explore, different dungeons to raid, and a good amount of different playable characters to play with. As I said, it's funny, with your friends.
A great game for you to play with your friends, have fun and spend time playing for hours. Dynamic and totally free. Daily bonuses for several different activities. Unlike Minecraft, this game holds you for a long time due to the great mechanics. Biomes, the Dungeons, Lairs, weapons etc. all created by the community and accepted by the Creator and made with their help! A simple and good game to play!
A very fun game I've played for a very, very long time. It's loads of fun to play with friends. You can build whatever you want on your "cornerstone" or you could create a club world to build on with your friends. Create songs with minecraft inspired noteblocks . or build a massive dungeon to submit to the developers. You can also go to the trove reddit page and submit your own, masks, weapons and hats. But that's not all, explore a pretty world with multiple biomes like ; "neon city", a tundra, a magical forest, a volcano biome and more. Dungeons are fun. And " Shadow Dungeons"(basically raids) can take a while but the items are worth it! Don't forget to give a visit to the sky realm and get some wings ^_^ . or take it to the seas to fish and go around with your boat with customizable ships. And let's not forget about all the classes. There are a lot! And I'm sure there's one that fits your style. This game is not pay to win either. Its loads of fun, I recommend to give this game a try!
i have been playing trove for 100+ hours and i really like it
it's fun to have my own cornstone ther i can build my own house and players can not grief and that's great.
ans I just finished my club world. I built an big Hub with all the adventures portals.
but the most funny thing to do is tho upgrade my class/ shadow hunter. I always play like shadow hunter. I really recommend this class and trove it an amazing game. it's super funn XD love it XD
I installed this game simply because it reminded me of Minecraft looking at the grafics, but I was wrong to compare them. Trove is enjoyable open world experience nothing like Minecraft besides how it looks and some few mehanics like everything being in cubes and building the house which is your base. Unlike minecraft thats all about crafting and building , trove is esentially about exploring and creating your own unique character and is all about the fighting and action. Honestly I havent played it for too long since I find it to be grindy after a while , but thats how it is with most games nowadays
I purchased a trove "founder pack" back when that sort of thing was still offered for the game. I remember first playing and thinking to my self...
"wow,,,this game is way better than minecraft!"
I was wrong however to even make a comparison between the two, yes they both have a blocky world and both have crafting (though vastly different) yet the similarities ended there. In trove you have classes, such as the Candy Barbarian, the Dracoloyte, Neon Ninja and many goofy and fun classes to choose from. The game shines in that respect with each character having its own fun unique play style. However the game does lack any meaningful content for the player to fully utilize the amazing classes. From my experience I recall the early levels in that forest Biome where I raided tombs of the dead for colorful hats and weapons to outfit my character. Once my toon started to get some meat on his bones I moved up into the next area and though the Biome and dungeon layouts had changed I felt like I was still in my old zone just re skinned. This is a reoccurring theme throughout and though some dungeons are much larger than others and house stronger bad guys they are just elaborate ways to connect the same old rooms with the same old baddies. If you are looking to spice things up the shadow dungeon back when I played was one of the best ways to get gear and have a nice challenge. The community was great because you could always get a PUG together to run some Shadow. Overall, I don't think it is a bad game, it is a nice pick up and play for a little awhile type of game but I can not imagine anyone really wanting to sink hours and hours into it. The game is ever evolving with frequent updates bringing new classes and more content some of the issues I have with the game may soon be fixed so dont discount the game. Just know that it isn't a very deep game, it is just a fun one.
SideNote: Most of the world is destructible but I never really found myself needing to destroy anything, seems like it was just added as a feature to be added. Yes some things are needed to craft new mounts and if you are really going to be working on your home(Which follows you around by being instantly built on a small plots around the world) there is no real reason to destroy blocks.
its really fun to paly this game. you can collect loads of items and styles. you can have different mounts and you own house. and the best is, that you can design eerything by yourself :)
The game itself is very nice, relaxing but a tad easy. It does however contain alot of content which will take ages to fully complete. This, + the fact that they keep putting in new content all the time (that makes you barely keep up with it) does make it a somewhat challenging game. That is of course only if you enjoy exploring the full content of a game.
nice game to play togheter with some friends or to learn some nice new people of this community. Fun and relaxing grind game that wil happily take away some time when you are bored
For me this game became very boring very fast, because you grind for everything. When I joined a clan it became sort of fun again, because we went grinding together but still. GRIND.
This game has blocky styled graphics and I usually don't like that however, I really enjoy this game. It has lots of things to do. You can customise your house, look and class whenever you feel like it. The combat is simple but takes skill to master. This game is very fun!
Sort of a grindy experience but lots of fun once you get the hang of it. Once you get into the Uber worlds things get a lot more hardcore. Fun to play with friends, and especially with a club.
Let's talk about Trove. I think the working so much for the game. Arts, characters, mobs etc... The graphics around 80-85% good, but it's can be better in the future. There are so many possibilities for example you can farm many type like gathering, crafting (ring, weapon etc...). The gameplay is like in other mmorpgs, but something is different. When you love something, and you find another thing what you don't really like in the first time, but something pull you into that thing, but you don't know, but it's better then the thing you love. I think everyone know that feeling. The characters are awesome. Very nice skills and style. I like the different weapons and clothes, so you can look like a cowboy as a Gunslinger, or you can look like a King, you can be anything (with look) what your imagine can creat. The community, hmm. In my opinion, I have never met a community like this. This is awesome!! Everyone is helpful, friendly and know everything. For example where to farm, how to gathering, etc... They help you with farming too, it's rare. There are some tard, sure, there are tard in every game. But Trove have shortage of tards. Conclusion: This game is awesome, grab some friends, farm together, enjoy the game, because this game have many possibilities, and fun of course! Good bye :)
This game has mostly been the best for a few months, then i quit playing. But this game, it's getting updated regularly and it has pretty nice community. This game is a very good dungeon dwelling game, and if you feel like you want to kill some bosses in blocky graphics, then go on and download this!
Good game. Lots od classes but not are open right away and you need to pick carefully. You do not have to log out to switch classes. Crafting and building is a big part of the game and your house is plantable in very zone. The game starts very fast and for me thats a plus point.
I played Trove for so many hours and I can say that this game is awesome!
The game is free to play but looks like a AAA game. It doesn't pay to win, have so many jobs and so many things to do, like train to level up, craft items to become stronger, play with your guild (In Trove, they call it "club") and much more!
10/10 Im my opinion. I totally recommend this game for everyone.
A very fun questing and adventuring game where you clear dungeons. It's best to play this with some friends, it makes dungeons a whole lot easier to clear. Chat in general is kinda cancer though, ignore it. Nice voxel-ish graphics, cute graphic style makes this easy to look at. It's not really pay-to-win because in most cases you're playing WITH other people and not AGAINST other people...but lately they removed the ability to purchase some items with the non-premium currency, that's a bit of a low blow.
The game long time ago was really nice and fun, and beginner friendly. In recent patches it changed. Now it's less beginner friendly, but the game improved and has gone worse in one way or another. It gets repetitive after a week or two, but it's still really fun. One thing I really like about this game, is the amount of content. It has many mounts and wings and whatever, and some time ago they added dragons which you can evolve, from little pets to legendary dragons that you can fly around and destroy land. Overall, the game is worth trying and is really fun, but it depends on the person if he will keep playing.
Hey, so... Trove is a giant sandbox game with a mmorpg kind of touch with it. Yes there are classes but there's not really a big story in it. But if you are not interested in that kind of stuff then there's a huge viarity of things you can do like make you're own island with friends or just go raid dungeon or even make your own weapon because trion worlds (dev. of Trove) gives you a program where you can make your own weapon and if trion worlds like it they put it in there game. In all it's a fun game with much to do and it's free so try it and if it isn't your taste u can delete it, that's why it's free :p -This was LostLife ;)
I started playing this game in closed beta. After a month or so I stopped because everything was so repetitive and grinding was the only thing you could really do. I recently got back into it and I am addicted to it now. Over the year or more that I stopped playing they've added a ton of classes, items, and things to do. The one thing I also noticed is how much of a pay to win game this has become. That's about the only downside.
Trove is the unique game that I played and said: OMG have dragons! The time that I played Minecraft the best action that I wanted was to fly in the Elder Dragon, and SURPRISE Trove have this... but not in the Elder Dragon ;-;. However O miss mg Family in this game!
A new and beautiful game. I love this game so much although there are some minor problems with it. Farming is great in this game as well as the community of helpful gamers
I've played and i'm playing Trove right now, it is a really good choice if you like to play RPG and Sandbox games. It is really nice there are a lot o items that you can collect and the developers and the gamers always develops new of them. The graphic is good, and the game is usually updated, also there are a lor of people playing it so you will never be alone. I hope you enjoy my review and the game too :)
It's a cool game. You have alot of different classes and you can switch them very easy. You have alot of craft and build possibilities which is nice. The game starts very fast and for me thats a plus point, i hate the loadingscreens.
A really nice game, not really like minecraft. You dont have recipes exactly and its not survival. Also its only multiplayer. So not like minecraft but cubic like and fun.You have many things to do.You first build then you fight mobs and you have skills as well as the fact tht you can avoid attacks. Then you get fun items like some that have extra jumps and you get to jump like a LOT of times. Then you craft many things and you get mounts.Yes,you have flying mounts as well. The game its almost Open World.I mean you have maps not manny maps like 100 or things like that. You get multiplyer maps that are level based.First 1-3 then 3-5 and so on.In these maps you can break things, fight or just jump and fly with mounts! You can also find dungeons on these maps that have bosses. So its really fun and enjoyable.
So, the game concepts are good. Functions properly (Outside of the occasional lag spike because Trion). Graphics are fine. Sound engineering is fine. The progression in game just hits the spot. BUT, and it's the biggest BUT you'll see (yourmomjokehere.jpg), Trion's planning to ruin it with an update where you'll have to BUY WITH CASH more classes if you want to. No grinding allowed either.
If you want to play, it's okay. Combat is fun, pvp is a bit stunted on some classes' sides. Exploration feels good. Oh, and I forgot, you're capable of building your very own tower/spire of doom, Trump Tower, whatever you want in your small Cornerstone (Which has enough space, and if not, you can always get around it)
So its another Minecraft wanna be sort of. mine block and rescores build a house kill creeps. Trove I'm my own opinion is a fun game compared to MC with the cartoon like graphics and mounts. with at time of this review 14 class to choose from. from a duel pistol wielding ranged to a Pirate captain Supp. THATS RIGHT I SAID pirate. You start out on the New world and advance from there quit quickly I might add to harder worlds. as you Kill different mobs and bosses you gather materials to advance your weapon and armor. the mining aspect of the game is actually quit minimal aspect of the game you can find pets to help with that send them on there way to do the mining for you as well as boost your stats. If you enjoy exploring crafting and looking for a game that you can sit down and just casually play than Trove might be a good fit for you. Your Laptop Gamer Mr. Joshua
Trove is a very large game with hours of playtime if you're into it but the whole game is grinding for gear and cosmetics and gets really boring without a group of friends or getting deep into the community (which is great by the way), so overall its worth a try and if you enjoy by all means continue but its not for everyone.
Its like free Cube World that getting updated faster. You get alot of choices of weapons and costumes for free, while the classes are not hard to grind up for. But bosses will get boring since most of the time they will look and fight the same as other ones. Over all its worth a try since its free.
First off, I really enjoyed playing Trove, met lots of friends and had a great time building up a club for people to build and bond in. I was a beta player, and had loads of experience in this game. But after playing it for such a long time, I got burnt out, there's not much for me to do in the game anymore. In fact, before it got released onto Steam, I was already burnt out. The only thing that kept me going was my club, and building in the game. (I was a huge fan of building :D) Eventually, I stopped playing the game.
But that said, Trove was really enjoyable, adventuring through the worlds with your friends and defeating dungeons was a great experience. The graphics were nice, but nothing amazing. Community was alright, sometimes you meet really nice people, sometimes you don't, depends on how you look at it. Not only that, this game isn't Pay-to-win too, classes and flasks can be bought by currency you earn in the game. I just hope that there would be more end-game content.
So the main thing that makes me want to play this game it's basically that it's a game that you can have fun with friends of all ages. Then there's that the community of Trove is very friendly. But something that made me think that the gameplay wasn't good enough, was that if you play alone, then it'll become boring after a while. Which is the reason why I stopped playing the game. But the game is still a really good game even though I just said it gets boring if you play solo for a while and this is just my opinion, so I would recommend it to my younger siblings but older people might not like it as much. It's still a game worth of trying, because it doesn't cause any lag and I think that most computers would be able to handle this game.
Trove is a voxel-sandbox mmorpg where the game is as fun as you make it.
Trove is not a hardcore game where you are expected to be amazing at dodging, timing, blocking in order to excel at the game.
Trove is a game where you grind, grind, and grind some more, so you can get the best gear in the game and easily conquer all your enemies.
Trove is a game, where you grind for materials so you can build.
Nevertheless, the game is OKAY as a game. Due to it's simplicity, the game gets dull relatively fast, and is only as interesting as long as you constantly find something to do (such as grind for currency to upgrade your gear, buy cosmetics, and etc...)
I have played this game for over a year, and I had fun with it. The only problem is, after a year, you have no content left to play with. You're in the world, you have no main quest( except small secondary quests), I you play until you have no ideas or dungeons to play with...I will try this game again when I find a real quest system...But it's nevertheless a great game.
For a simplistic style of game, it is very addicting and packed with things to do, for varied wants.
- You like to garden? play the game enough and you can. - You like to build? you can build your house they way you want, (I saw a 7-Eleven... so yes anything). - You want to dungeon? There are varied dungeons and many difficulties, across multiple biomes and portals. - You can be a class, then play the game enough and pick something else.
about the cash shopping in this game, i am not sure if its just for looks, but at the same time, the game just recently came out, give it a playthrough.
What if Minecraft, instead of being a survival game, became a MMORPG instead?
Trove is basically Minecraft except with a more dungeon-ey aspects and is by no means the same or close to Minecraft aside from the Graphics.
The game has great community and lots of dungeons to explore. Alongside that the game also allows you to be creative and build a base which you'll spend only 2/5% of your time in to craft things.
It's a great game though it's not something that will keep dragging you in thanks to it being a grind-fest. Quests are generally repetitive and all you basically do is explore dungeon and kill.
Though if grinding is your thing then do check out the game though I generally think that the game could've done better in it's approach to MMO.
Trove is a voxel based game similar to minecraft it originally copied cube world with it's gameplay the game is fun to play and a way to waste time if you're bored other than that don't take the game too seriously.
The way i see it is Trove is a spin-off of Minecraft, which isn't a bad thing. There are a lot of spin-off's out there and i think this is one of the better ones. They still keep in the mining for materials and base building but also give you the ability to move your base to different plots which i think is rather nice. Granted you have a set area you can build which can limit some people but still a cool concept. I would recommend it but it also seems like its just full of a bunch of 12 year old kids who like to think they are "badass" which is a downfall for me personal. But if you can handle the sqeekers then try out the game.
The graphics are as can be expected from a voxel (cube) based game. They're more polished than minecraft but nothing too fancy. Gameplay is very simplistic but effective and easy to understand with skill based attacks that all run off a single stamina meter, as well as regular attacks that to memory doesn't consume any stamina. I did not have much community interaction in my hours playing but i can say that its probably as good as any other community that doesn't too hugely talk to each other. I will say this, play it too much and you'll probably get sick of the gameplay and move onto something else, so play in moderation. Also its got its fair share of micro transactions but the loot dropped by enemies is more than enough to keep you happy with the game and ignore those micro transactions. (Which is definitely a good thing)
I've had a solid run through with friends and other community members, and I would have to say how wonderful the community is! The pixel MMO feel to it creates an atmosphere that sets a smooth ambience towards the gameplay. All 'n' all the gameplay is inviting and user-friendly, which is a great game for those new to MMO's!! Keep it up Trove! and Game On!
This game is awesome you can pretty much do everything you want from killing mobs to just build your dream house In PvE the way that you upgrade your stuff is very intuitive and not that hard to understand The only downside is that there's a lot of trolls and 12 y-o kids
Trove is an awesome MMO for people that want to get started in this type of game. It is extremely well presented, a good tutorial and an awesome playthrough with a great progression system. The devs are present everywhere: forums, social medias and such. Awesome game to play with friends and I highly recommend it!
I have been playing this game since BETA. I don't even want to know how many hours I have played >.>;
It's super fun to just pop on for a few mins or a couple of hours. There are so many mounts, pets, weapons, gear, etc to collect. You will be playing for hours and completely lose track of time.
They recently added Capture the Flag pvp and I have to admit it's damn fun, would not have guessed this game could do pvp right, but they somehow did it.
I`ve played the game before like over 30 hours and i must say ist pretty funny to play, when youre a rpg freak and you want to level up everything you can, this is a quick dungeon farming game... the community is very nice and the gameplay is well done.
Started playing it when it was still in beta, at first had doubts for lack of textures but when you get into the game you just can't stop exploration and doing the little dungeons you find around to get new gear. All of this alone, with friends or simply spending time with people chatting while you create your own base (that you can move around). Basically, a true game that aim for the fun and the chilling time.
Ive had my fair share of fun with this game. To be honest, I fell over it like an creophagous animal. My motive for this was rather scabby. It was because I loved CubeWorld, and In Trove I saw something similiar. That being said, in a way it was like CubeWorld, but it felt like it lacked a certain freedom and depth.
First of all, I was never a big fan of this Realm Of the Mad God type travelling system. Starting of from a sort of headquarter, and then going through various portals to venture out into new realms. The reason I dont like this is because it feels like it takes a certain freedom away.
First of all, you cant get from one realm to another, meaning youll have to go back to the "Headquarter" to venture out somewhere else. Once I go out of my front door I dont want to have to go back just to go to a new place, thats just ridiculous.
The combat also always had a weird feeling to it. It never felt smooth. How should I say, it always felt more like World Of Warcraft in a sense, meaning repeating the same, lame animations over and over again. Not more than one, just ONE!
You could say that this is just a minor concern, but staring at the same old turd will gradually make it loose entertainment value. Speaking of entertainment value, for me it was lost rather quickly with Trove. It got stale quickly. It was an endless grind, but not even a good one. Diablo II was a good one, because of the loot. And while Trove certainly did have loot, it never felt loot based.
Not only that, the enemies also got stale quickly, because it was always the same in the end.
Still, Trove was fun for the few days my carnage within the game lasted.
A lot of people review this game with relatively high scores. I mostly disagree with those reviews. The gameplay gets repetitive really fast, the graphics are OK nothing special but not bad in any way. I think the community is relatively good as I have had no problems and most people are generally helpful. In my opinion the game does not contain enough content to get that 4 star in the gameplay category, however they seem to be adding more content which is quite nice. All in all pretty solid game if you go into it not expecting anything groundbreaking!
I have played Trove for a fairly long time. On and off, at times, but for the most part playing it at least every other day. I have played the game since it was still in beta as well, so I have had a chance to see the game grow over the last couple years. And grow it certainly has. What was once a fun little hack and slash game with only a handful of classes and no real end game has turned into one of the best MMO games I have played in years.
The game has very fun collecting, with things like mounts, costumes, pets, equipment styles, ect. And as you collect these styles you gain mastery points which unlock bonuses as you gain higher levels. From something as simple as some currency, to a permanent stat increase, to item styles, the rewards vary greatly.
Now lets talk combat and classes. The game is still very much a hack and slasher type mmo, so if you don't like those then you may not be able to enjoy the gameplay, as it has large amounts of grinding out dungeons and enemies to get anything. The classes in the game are all fairly unique, from a simple knight to a tomb raiser summoning minions to fight for them, and a candy barbarian throwing down giant icecream cones on their foes. There is a class for just about everyone at the moment.
Now lets talk community. Though at times it can have the occasional troll, or people arguing, for the most part the community is fairly friendly. There are plenty of people willing to help out new players, or old returning players.
All in all, Trove is a very solid game that has continued to grow over time, and I have no doubt it will only go further. If you like free games with fun content, item collecting, and dungeon crawling, all mixed up into a minecraft type look, then give this a try. Oh, and did I mention you can build homes? Because that's a pretty awesome part of the game, building houses on land plots or in your club world.
I really enjoy playing this game. It's a great MMO specially for beginners because it is easy to get the hang of and has a great community. It has a progressive leveling system that makes you want to keep playing. So all in all it is a good game that you can get at least 30 hrs on for just 1 class and there is 13 classes.
Because CubeWorld was the idea before Trove. And if the 1 or 2? people who worked on cubeworld finished their game i think it would be way more popular than trove. But they dont seem to care ^^
That aside Trove wins this battle and is for Free and paying players a fun game!
trove is an MMORPG like minecraft gameplay you can fish, sail in the sea, ride a different mount, enter dungeons, trade with players, fly in the sky, craft items, build your own club, etc, defently worth chacking out,the graphic is catoony and i love it :D
Well,i tried to play this game with my friend who was very excited about something like this.Funny ,good for people who are looking for killing monsters, building your own house and what i like is no P2W :)
I tested this game many times on hoping i would start to like it..but nowadays you need to have good garphics sorry thats a fact..It might be great game under the ugly picture but no i cant look past that :(
It is been okay, I played whilst in the Beta and was not that impressed. this was on the minecraft and Cubeworld train and just couldn't reach expectations.
Trove,a new kind of mmorpg that skyrocked in my eyes when it first come out. This game is a voxel MMOrpg that uses different engine than the mmorpg's we usually see. On the first hand, this game has great gameplay, great aesthetics, good generated world.Every class has three unique abilities and a passive and they fill roles like support, mage, ranger, assassin, tank in their own way,Trove has a nice combat system, simple but exceptional, you can even dodge attacks. Many people had faith in this game, some still are. On the other hand, the recent updates made the game more pay to win,the usual disease a free to play game gets at one point when they grow popular. This game has become less friendly for new players in some terms, now you get new classes differently, through a less enjoyable experience.I remember logging in each day to get 500 cubits to buy a new character, the old good days.In this game I'm at that level where I cannot feel the new updates a lot but I see people complain more so I researched and saw that the game is going down. All in all, this game was one of the best mmorpg's with the biggest potential,if it gets out of this disease of making the new players have a less enjoyable experience, less freedom,it will become a mediocre game.
The game brings me back to another game that I played when I was 9. It was called ROTMG. It started out promising, it was good and it was free. Over time it was ruined by a massive company that bought it out as it became Pay to Win instead of Pay for cosmetics.
However, Troves story is different. It was created by a massive company with money in its mind. Yet, somehow, the Pay to Win mentality just isnt there. The perks you buy are nice and do give you gameplay advantages. But those advantages can be aquired through normal gameplay without grinding at all. (although grinding is the point of the game.). And even if you do buy them with Money they just make life easier rather then a big advantage.
The Graphics are nice, but nothig spectacular. However it is nice how it can run on lower end systems like mine with a constant 30 or 60 fps.
The Gameplay consists of killing monsters to get better loot to kill bosses to get better loot and progress into the sky realm. Its a big grinding game, and yet it is fun. The game has a charm to it too. Sort of silly with a company thrown into it. The gameplay is smooth even when the you get 6500 ping (my avarage ping in the game... Sad life) You then use your loot to make better items or just build your house or city. Very Fun.
Overall the game is just another MMO that is fun to play and seems balanced. The creation aspect is enticing and continues to stay enticing with its 1000's of blocks and various interactive mechanics.
I enjoyed alot this game, played with GuildMates is even more fun! tons stuff to do, alot of loots and you can build your house and teleport anywhere you like. i just wish for more Guild/Worlds Customization like Cornerstone will be great in that place. and tons of fun classes.

+Pros:
-Good community.
-Great upgrading system(and still more being added).
-Unique systems and classes.
-Pets and Mounts Like shoes and dragons.
-Bazar, great for selling your items
-Con:
-Still improving slowly
-Slow Progress if dont have in-game mentor or friends
-Sometimes there can be grinding
P.S.: There is ¡¡¡HUGE!!! update coming having 4 new worlds, new dungeons, enemies and much more!!!
casual fun without pressure
new pvp mode seems interesting
fair cash shop model
what more do you want?
I think the most impressive part of the game is the character controller. It is the most responsive I have ever had the pleasure to play. There is always chatter in the chat box, and there is a nice club system where you can create your own club world much like you can go into creative mode in Minecraft.
Trion did a great job with this game. You should definitely give it a try if you’re looking for something new and fun to play.
My overall review is 8-10
As for graphics, there is an improvement in the blocks that your eyes will thank because they are not all pixels.
8/10
diversiter of the peronnage is the personalization of character and places are .
tou free to play as there is a way to pay for better play.
Travel through fully destructible worlds allows the discovery in the cave undermine surface and explore club worlds created by other players.
I have a close place in my heart for Minecraft. But after playing Trove I now have a special place for it too! Each have their own unique style and they both have a appeal of their own. If you decide to play Trove I believe you won't be dissappointed.
Better multiplayer improvements;
Outstanding Solo gameplay;
More customization modes;
And almost everything!
I can't wait to see what this game looks like in the future and shoutout to Trion Worlds!
it's fun to have my own cornstone ther i can build my own house and players can not grief and that's great.
ans I just finished my club world. I built an big Hub with all the adventures portals.
but the most funny thing to do is tho upgrade my class/ shadow hunter. I always play like shadow hunter. I really recommend this class and trove it an amazing game. it's super funn XD love it XD
Yes some things are needed to craft new mounts and if you are really going to be working on your home(Which follows you around by being instantly built on a small plots around the world) there is no real reason to destroy blocks.
you can collect loads of items and styles.
you can have different mounts and you own house.
and the best is, that you can design eerything by yourself :)
Conclusion: This game is awesome, grab some friends, farm together, enjoy the game, because this game have many possibilities, and fun of course!
Good bye :)
I like build a house, hunt for item & mount.
you can have a pet.
I hope you enjoy my review and the game too :)
If you want to play, it's okay. Combat is fun, pvp is a bit stunted on some classes' sides. Exploration feels good. Oh, and I forgot, you're capable of building your very own tower/spire of doom, Trump Tower, whatever you want in your small Cornerstone (Which has enough space, and if not, you can always get around it)
Your Laptop Gamer
Mr. Joshua
But bosses will get boring since most of the time they will look and fight the same as other ones.
Over all its worth a try since its free.
The pixel MMO feel to it creates an atmosphere that sets a smooth ambience towards the gameplay.
All 'n' all the gameplay is inviting and user-friendly, which is a great game for those new to MMO's!!
Keep it up Trove!
and Game On!
In PvE the way that you upgrade your stuff is very intuitive and not that hard to understand
The only downside is that there's a lot of trolls and 12 y-o kids
It's super fun to just pop on for a few mins or a couple of hours. There are so many mounts, pets, weapons, gear, etc to collect. You will be playing for hours and completely lose track of time.
They recently added Capture the Flag pvp and I have to admit it's damn fun, would not have guessed this game could do pvp right, but they somehow did it.
All of this alone, with friends or simply spending time with people chatting while you create your own base (that you can move around).
Basically, a true game that aim for the fun and the chilling time.
