Brandon “Ryze” Beck and Marc “Tryndamere” Merrill founded Riot games over eleven years ago, and if you know anything about League of Legends, you’ll know that it’s one of the world’s biggest games.
As one might imagine, such success means there’s a lot of effort that must go on behind the scenes – outside of game design. Beck and Merrill stepped back some years ago to focus more on that end of things. But they announced this week that the duo would be stepping back up to the game-making plate.
They don’t say much about what they’ll be doing, but they do say that they want to “finally put the ‘s’ in Riot Games.” So it’s fair to say that Riot will finally start working on something that isn’t directly League of Legends related.
