The fourth season of SMITE is upon us, and so is – it seems – a whole host of changes and additions to the game.
The patch includes four main points of interest. There’s a new Clash map, one that’s set in Egypt. It’s got a large center area, fresh jungle camps, and if you’re feeling especially adventurous, you can test your mettle against the Chaos Serpent. That aside, all the maps are lowing the initial mob spawn from 90 to 60 seconds, and jungle camps will spawn 30 seconds after that.
The patch also includes 70 new and update items, including rituals, single-use items with relic-like effects, and chalices, which are basically multi-use potions.
And like any good patch, Smite’s host of Gods have all received some adjustment on the balance side of things.
Ranked play has also been expatiated to grant more rewards faster.
