It’s crazy to think that Warframe has grown large enough to warrant its own convention, but it has, and it’s where Digital Extremes likes to show off what’s in the pipeline for their space ninjas.

The show kicked off by showing off a new cinematic (directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who directed 10 Cloverfield Lane and is set to direct the Uncharged video game adaptation starring Spidey himself, Tom Holland.) This new video will greet newcomers to the game as they step into their warframe for the very first time, indicating that Digital Extremes is planning to revamp the early game experience.

The team also showed off the oncoming Empyrean update, which still doesn’t have a release date. That’s not too surprising considering the scope of the thing, but it will include space ships and ship-to-ship combat, as well as some sleek new improvements to the graphics engine. There was also some footage from the game’s next story update, as well as the next big open world zone due out later this year.

That’s quite a bit to digest, and if you want to check out the videos, head over to the Digital Extremes hub.
