Ultima Online first launched over 20 years ago in 1997, and after all this time, the game’s free-to-play option is now live for all players. Now you can opt for the Endless Journey to check out the game without paying for the subscription.

Much like the free-to-play options for other games, Ultima Online has its fair share of limitations. Free players cannot buy houses, form guilds, have no mail access, and limited harvesting, and more. They do get access to all expansion content except the most recent one, which will become free later.

Older players can transition their accounts to free-to-play, but allow 24 hrs for that to happen.

Check out the official notes for more on this.
